Chips and DIPS is a color arcade style game for Mac II systems. It is similar to the old Lode Runner game from Broderbund. In Chips and DIPS, you control robots through a series of warehouse floors (levels) recovering computer chips while avoiding the Digitally Intelligent Protective Servants (DIPS). Your only defense (besides your wits) is a magnetic emination that destroys the DIPS.
Chips and DIPS is a shareware product. This download contains the full working version of Chips and DIPS, and five levels for the game. Registering Chips and DIPS for $10 entitles you to receive the Chips and DIPS Designer program which allows you to paint new levels for the game.
Chips and DIPS is already available for the Apple IIGS system with an identical shareware arrangement. Chips and DIPS (GS) has registered owners in 7 countries (US, Canada, England, France Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Equador).
